Sarangkot is a hill that rises around 800m above the city of Pokhara and has long been a popular viewpoint for a spectacular Himalayan sunrise. And this is where Sarangkot Mountain Lodge is with Pokhara itself far, far below. No doubt about it, the views from the hotel are superlative and it’s a decent reasonably deluxe hotel too. It is however also “all about the views”, there is little else nearby and the bars and restaurants of Pokhara are about 45 mins away by taxi. A good “get away from Pokhara” hotel with probably the best views from an outdoor pool too.
