Having this flexibility has other benefits, too. International flights may well be cheaper at certain times and on certain days too.
While both Nepal and Bhutan can be broadly considered "all-year-round" travel destinations, there may be a time of year you'd wish to avoid (e.g., the monsoon).

*If you're considering a high-altitude trek, these are invariably "seasonal". At certain times of the year (particularly winter), high mountain passes may become impossible or dangerous to cross, and it can of course be exceptionally cold high up in the Himalayas too.
