Trip Overview

A short but very spectacular trek into the Everest region and the land of the Sherpa.

Everest views, trekking parts of the Everest Base Camp trail to Thyangboche Monastery—all in just two weeks! By Himalayan standards, this is relatively moderate walking along good paths in the foothills of the Everest region. This trek should be within the capabilities of those with a reasonable level of fitness, although the trekking is often above 3000 m, so a slower pace than usual is necessary. As well as magnificent views, you'll be walking through many friendly Sherpa villages. An acclimatisation day is built into the itinerary. A great introduction to Himalayan trekking for regular hill walkers It's an ideal first trek in Nepal, and as it's Tea House trekking, it's a Himalayan trek without camping. Sleeping bags (4-season) will be required for nights spent in trekking lodges. We can arrange sleeping bag rentals if required.

IMPORTANT NOTE: During certain months flights to/from Lukla are changed from Kathmandu to Manthali, which is several hours from Kathmandu! You may wish to consider allowing an extra day for this eventuality. See our FLIGHTS TO LUKLA INFORMATION for more.
