Another of our own Rural Heritage Hotels, a blissful location in the heart of a rural nirvana. The Famous Farm enjoys a hillside location with stunning views across the Trisuli River Valley below. Peace, perfect peace in the colourful gardens. Just find your own secret place to relax, soak up the sunshine (the lodge has a southerly aspect), and allow yourself to unwind at this former Newari mansion house. Goats, chickens, and the like wander around freely. Below the lodge is the vegetable garden, and outside is the real, rural Nepal. Step into the open kitchen, and the staff will be happy to show you how they prepare their signature Nepali specialities. Rooms are cosy, atmospheric, and have those traditional low ceilings and tastefully preserved Newari architectural features. Enjoy dinner al fresco and then sit by the open fire, slowly sip a chilled beer, and perhaps come to the conclusion that life really is beautiful.
