Unknown easy annapurna trek

Annapurna & Fishtail Delights

We have shown the itinerary on the basis of a complete holiday purely for illustrative purposes. Naturally as tailor-made Nepal holiday specialists we would be happy to discuss additional options, whether it be other activities, more/less sightseeing, alternative/upgraded accommodation etc dependent upon your interests, preferences and time available. We even tailor-make a suggested 'what to pack' list for you based upon your ultimately chosen Nepal tailor-made holiday too.

Day 1 - Arrive Kathmandu

Arriving at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you'll be met and receive a private transfer for the short distance into central Kathmandu and to the "KGH" Hotel in the heart of the Thamel district. You'll be given a briefing on your forthcoming adventure and in the evening can take dinner at your leisure in one of the many choices of cafes & restaurants in Kathmandu, although the open air courtyard cafe of the KGH Hotel is as good as anywhere,

Accommodation: KGH Hotel  -   Kathmandu

Included Meals: None

Day 2 - Fly to Pokhara & trek to Pothana

A private transfer to the airport for the 25min flight to Nepals premier resort-Pokhara. A private vehicle transfer then takes you to the start of the trail at Phedi. Here you'll meet your porters and once sorted your trek begins with a steady ascent on a stone stepped trail through beautiful forests until you emerge onto an open ridge line and encounter tiny hill villages. The trail continues with minor ups and downs through Dhampus to reach your overnight halt in the village of Pothana (1530m). Walking time approx 3-4hrs with around 800m ascent. Of course you can always add an extra night in Pokhara and have a bit of lake side "chill out time" before you head off on trek.

Accommodation: Trekking Lodge, Pothana

Included Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 3 - Trek to Landruk

A steady climb along a well made village trail leads up to the Deorali Pass (2100m) from where you'll no doubt halt to take in the exhilarating views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli and the Modi Khola Valley below. The trail now contours the mountain side before descending through forests to the charming village of Landruk (1625m) from where you can now relax and enjoy views of the Himalayan peaks across the valley. Walking time approx 3-4 hrs, with around 600m ascent and 700m descent.

Accommodation: Trekking Lodge, Landruk

Included Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 4 - Trek to Ghandruk

A case of down then up today. First you'll walk all the way down the valley flanks to reach the Modi Khola river, crossing via a bridge. It's then up, up, up and at times a steep climb on a stepped trail all the way up. It can often be a hot climb, but there's no great rush and so you can take rest breaks on your way up as well as take advantage of refreshment opportunities along the way. Now higher up and on the opposite of the valley from where you started there are fine views of Macchapuchare (Fishtail Peak). Walking time approx. 4 hours with around 300m descent and 700m ascent.

Walking time approx. 4--5hours,with around 600m ascent and 950m descent.

Accommodation: Hotel Karuna  -  Pokhara
