As featured on the BBC TV series "Beyond The Lobby: The world's most amazing hotels", this is a unique luxury lodge that reflects Bhutan’s rich cultural heritage.
This most intimate of "boutique luxury" hotels has a distinctly traditional flavour and enjoys spectacular views over the 17th century monastery, traditional farm houses and dense forested mountains of Himalayan blue pine.
The "Farmhouse" suites at Gangtey Lodge are identical and have a private bathroom and spacious living area, with interiors reflecting the rich cultural heritage of Bhutan. Sizeable too with each suite being approx. 46 square metres.
Features include a freestanding bath, underfloor heating, a swiss woodburning fireplace and furnishings with warm fabrics and earthen tones in true Bhutanese style.
This a place where you can immerse yourself into the culture of Bhutan too.
Gangtey Lodge prides itself in enabling guests to connect physically, spiritually, and emotionally with their surroundings. Additionally Gangtey Lodge purposefully seeks to empower and create opportunities for the local community through training and employment, and respecting the environment through low impact design and green operational practices.
A small, intimate spa that offers various wellness treatments including fireside massage and a traditional Bhutanese hot stone bath.
