This beautiful, moderate Himalayan trek takes in the delightful Modi Khola Valley with walks along both sides of the valley to enjoy contrasting views of Annapurna, Hiunchuli and Macchapuchare before heading up to the classic Himalayan viewpoint of Poon Hill for a sunrise 360 degree panorama. As the rising sun kisses the peaks, views extend across the Kali Gandaki Valley to Dhaulagiri. Passing through cheerful, colourful villages and greeting the locals along the way is all part of the pleasure of this varied Himalayan trek. The walking culminates with a two day seemingly never ending descent before heading to lakeside Pokhara. An ideal walk to a Himalayan view point along well trodden village to village trekking trails for anyone with a reasonable level of fitness and whom enjoys regular hill-walking. For a shorter version of a trek to Poon Hill, please check out our Poon Hill Trek.
