Hiking options to Annapurna Base Camp
All meals 'on tour' included
The hike to Annapurna Base Camp, other wise and better known as the Annapurna Sanctuary Trek is without doubt one of the most beautiful of all Himalayan hikes. Whilst the final section of the trek to the Annapurna Sanctuary and Annapurna Base Camp area is "one way" only in the lower reaches of the Modi Khola Valley there are many linking village trails meaning that there are several possibile approaches for Annapurna Sanctuary treks.
Below we've featured two such possibilities, but of course being a custom Nepal trek specialisist we're always happy to advise as to other variations too.
The "traditional" Annapurna Sanctuary walk route via the eastern flanks of the Modi Khola as well as a western approach via the classic Himalayan sun rise view point of Poon Hill. Both variations ultimately merge at the hill village of Chhomrong to follow the same (and only) route walking ever up to the amazing Annapurna Sanctuary via Machhapuchhare Base Camp.
With cosy Annapurna tea houses (trekking lodges) located strategically throughout the region, there's no need to camp even high up at Annapurna Base Camp.
12 days - Moderate/Challenging
The classic trekking route to the Annapurna Sanctuary and one of the most beautiful treks in Nepal (in our opinion) up through the delightful Modi Khola Valley to the magnificent mountain amphitheatre of the 'sanctuary' and Annapurna Base Camp. Atmospheric trekking lodges every night and breathtaking views of Annapurna and Fishtail.

Classic Himalayan Trek
An amazing combination of a trek to the Annapurna Sanctuary/Annapurna Base Camp via the classic Himalayan sun rise view point at Poon Hill. This could well be the best trek you've never done....yet! Just like the traditional version there are trekking lodges every night.
